futurebird's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- travellers M and I had coffee this morning before he left for NY. There is something holy about people when they become travellers. Maybe its the coat and bags in hand, or maybe its knowing that they are in transition. But travellers seem simultaneously weary and fresh, they stand out among the locals. Well, except in New York City where everyone is a traveller. Ive been considering becoming a traveller myself. But I have too much business here to attend to to take off for another city. Too much business and not enough money. Maybe thats another reason why travellers seem otherworldly. Either they have wrapped up affairs before taking to the road or the sky or the sea or they are fleeing their responsibilities. Thats my favourite kind of traveller: the run away. The runaway walks as if he has no heart strings tied to any person or place. Now if I only had the courage to run! 11:09 p.m. - 2001-03-27 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
