Today I went to work ... then I tried exploring the YWHA and found this secret room on the roof with a tiny window just up a little staircase. I wish I could live there--- sometimes I feel like the guy in Ralph Ellison's Invisible Man. Maybe I'll start collecting light bulbs... I was reading it again today-- and after that I took a look at my recommendation letter just to see if it said, "Keep this black girl running!" (It didn't, I guess things aren�t as bad as they could be! Ha ha!) Oh and--I have a new phone number!
